Plywood Composition
Plywood is made of multiple thin sheets of wood (veneer sheets) that are glued together under heat and pressure.
The Quality of Plywood is determined by the quality of wood and glue used in making it. There are 2 major sub categories in Plywood quality-
1. Softwood- Like Pinewood, Cedar, Rosewood etc.

Block board Composition
Block Board is made by placing solid wood battens side by side glued and pressed together between 2 veneer sheets at high temperature and pressure.
The Quality of Block boards also depends on the quality of Wood Battens and Glue used.

Plywood Size and Thickness
The most common and standard size that a Plywood Sheet is available in is 8X4 Feet and Thickness Range is 3mm ,4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 19mm, 25mm etc.
Neem and Gurjan Plywood are heavier and more dense than Pinewood Block boards.
Block Board Size and Thickness
The most common and standard size that a Block board Sheet is available in is 8X4 Feet and Thickness Range is 12mm,16mm,19mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm etc.
Pinewood Block Boards are lighter in weight than hardwood plywoods.

Blockboard
Block boards have minor gaps between wood blocks , which cannot be seen from the outside. Block boards also have good screw holding capacity, but sometimes it may cause issues when nail goes in the gap between the blocks, instead of the wood.
